Facts about Ramadan

Dear lovers i have nothing to share with you except to remind you about the blessings of the Holly month which is out there
"we are left with 15 days to start our Ramadan "
as a Muslim Ramadan is a blessing from Allah

what is Ramadan itself

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Muslim lunar calendar. Healthy adult Muslims fast in Ramadan from dawn until dusk. This includes abstaining from drinking, eating, immoral acts and anger. Other acts of worship such as prayer, reading the Holly Quran and charity are also encouraged during Ramadan.
During the holy month, Muslims would wake up early to eat a pre-dawn meal called suhoor, and they break their fast with a meal referred to as iftar.
It is common for mosques to host large iftars, especially for the poor and needy. Nightly prayers called Tarawih are also held in mosques after iftar[after Isha prayer]
Different cultures have different traditions during Ramadan, whether it is a special food they must cook, or eating iftar with the extended family. Islamic tenets, such as generosity, inspired most of these traditions, such as sharing food and inviting guests over for iftar.
1.Ramadan is the 4th pillar of the Islam among the five
Every year in the month of Ramada-n, all Muslims fast from dawn until sundown--abstaining from food, drink, and sexual relations with their spouses.
Those who are sick, elderly, or on a journey, and women who are menstruating, pregnant or nursing, are permitted to break the fast and  make up an equal number of days later in the year if they are healthy and able. Children begin to fast (and to observe prayers) from puberty, although many start earlier.

2.Ramadan is known to be the month of Quran.

chapter 2 Verse 185, of the Quran states:The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Quran; a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey, a number of other days. Allah desires for you ease; He desires not hardship for you; and that you should complete the period, and that you should magnify Allah for having guided you, and that perhaps you may be thankful. It is highly recommended in the Ramadan to read and study the Holy Quran and to share with others.
3.The night of power is in Ramadan
Among the nights of Ramadan is one special night, which is better than a thousand months (HQ, 97:3).
Good deeds performed on that single night are equal to those performed over a thousand months.
It is the Night of Power (Laylatul Qadr), when the Qur'an was revealed. Some Muslim scholars believe it was the night when the Qur'an was brought down from Baytul M`amur (Heavenly abode), for Jibrael to reveal in parts to the Prophet .
The end of Ramadan is marked by intense worship as Muslims seek to have their prayers answered during “Laylat al-Qadr” or “the Night of Destiny.” It is on this night, which falls during the last 10 nights of Ramadan, that God sent the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad and revealed the first versus of the Quran.
Laylatul qadr can be found in odd numbers of the last 10 days of Ramadan

4.Allah forgives us in fasting Ramadan

It is said in an authentic Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that fasting in the Ramadan sincerely out of faith and in the hope of reward, we will be forgiven all our previous sins,
who ever Muslim fasts Ramadan beleiving in faith and hoping that Allah will reward him , Allah will forgive all his previous sins
Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, climbed upon the mimbar (pulpit) and said: "Aameen [O Allah grant it], aameen, aameen". So it was said, "O Messenger of Allah, you climbed upon the mimbarand said : "aameen, aameen, aameen"? So he said :"Jibraa'eel, `alaihi assalam, came to me and said, 'Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and does not have [his sins] forgiven and so enters Fire, then may Allah distance him, say aameen". So I said "aameen". [Ibn Khuzaimah, Ahmad and al-Baihaqui : Sahih]

5.in this Holy month, the gates of Paradise are opened, gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained up.

Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, once said: “When the month of Ramadan begins, the gates of the heaven are opened; the gates of Hell-fire are closed, and the devils are chained.” (Sahih Bukhari )

6.Muslims do Ictikaf [I’tikaf] In Ramadan

I’tikaf refers to going into seclusion in the mosque for the sole purpose of worshipping Allah and attaching oneself and one’s heart to His worship. I’tikaf provides an opportunity to the believer to get closer to Allah by temporarily freeing oneself and one’s mind from the activities and worries of this world. This provides an excellent opportunity to train oneself to disassociate temporarily from the worries of the world and to instead focus only on Allah alone.

7. Taraweeh and Tahajjud are prayed in Ramadan

Tahajjud was ordained by means of express Quranic verse: “Stand up at night except a little.”
The tahajud is just like a normal nafl [optional] prayer but the only difference is that it is prayed in the middle of the night [around 2-3 in the morning] or in the early hours before dawn...

Narrated Al-Aswad: I asked 'Aisha "How is the night prayer of the Prophet?" She replied, "He used to sleep early at night, and get up in its last part to pray, and then return to his bed. When the Muadh-dhin pronounced the Adhan, he would get up. If he was in need of a bath he would take it; otherwise he would perform ablution and then go out (for the prayer)." [Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 21, Number 247]
Taraweeh being a Sunnah was established through the hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Rasulullah has led taraweeh prayer doing his time in a congregation in The Masjid an-Nabawi and gave it up and said i am fear that it becomes compulsory on my Ummah so he prayed in his house later on Sayyid Umur Amir al Muminin  in his caliphate started the taraweh again in congregation prayer in  Masjid an-Nabawi

dear Muslim brothers and sisters may Allah reach us Ramadan and make us among those He forgives
Assalamu Alaykum
